Check the location of the tunnel protectors. iGrip patterns are recommendations: do not install studs directly beneath the tunnel protectors. We recommend fitting tunnel protectors.<\/div><h2>1. ST or SS: which stud should you choose?<\/h2><p>In this document, the ST series is recommended for more versatile grip on trails, in corners and on icy surfaces. The SS series is intended for more aggressive riding on trails and ice. Always match your choice to the recommendation for the specific track.<\/p><p><strong>SS models are not recommended for Cobra 1.352\u2033 and Ripsaw II tracks<\/strong>, because their tread lugs are narrower and more flexible. Installation steps<\/h2><ol><li><strong>Find your track below.<\/strong> Check the exact model, lug height and whether holes are already prepared.<\/li><li><strong>Choose the stud and pattern.<\/strong> Consider the stiffness of the track lugs and whether the pattern repeats every 3 or 6 rows.<\/li><li><strong>Mark the appropriate positions.<\/strong> Check their position relative to the tunnel protectors.<\/li><li><strong>Prepare holes only as instructed for the specific track.<\/strong> Do not apply one drilling depth to all tracks. For variants with prepared holes, follow their separate section.<\/li><li><strong>Screw in the studs to the position shown in the illustration.<\/strong> The grey area represents rubber. Distinguish stud insertion depth from protrusion above the rubber: neither is the same as the pilot-hole drilling depth.<\/li><li><strong>Inspect and maintain.<\/strong> Inspect the complete pattern and stud positions. The Ripsaw II recommendations also specify regularly checking insertion depth and, if necessary, screwing the studs in further to the position shown.<\/li><\/ol><div class=\"note\">The document specifically states a Bombardier Gen4 and Gen5 restriction for Ripsaw 1\u2033, Ripsaw 1.25\u2033 and Silent Drive II 1.25\u2033: if tunnel protection is fitted at the front and centre, do not place studs in the centre of the track.<\/div><h2>4.
